Alex Domingues works in the field of audiovisual media, from experimental cinema to video installation, but almost always somewhere in between.

Indefiniteness, ambiguity, and strangeness are ever-present concepts. Their works seek to raise more questions than certainties, evoking an atmosphere reminiscent of dreamlike experience. They sees the fluidity of video as a way to bring to the surface mental images, such as reveries, memories, and dreams.

Temporality is treated as a central element in their work, seeking to challenge the viewer's perception by manipulating duration, looping, and fragmentation across multiple screens, generating sensory reactions such as tachycardia and disorientation.
